horse must have attended a minimum of one (1) local AMHA qualifying
show prior to competing at the Championship Show. EXCEPTIONS-horses

They may enter as many classes as they choose at the Championship Show in each division in which they entered at least one class at the local qualifying show. A horse/exhibitor is not required to have placed at the local qualifying show but they must have entered and exhibited.
All entries, along with proper fees for entries and stalls, must be mailed to the Show Department, AMHA, 5601 S Interstate 35W, Alvarado, TX 76009. Make all checks payable to the American Miniature Horse Association. Exhibitors ARE NOT required to send a copy of the horse's papers with entries, but must present original papers or a very clear copy to the measurer at the show. See page 17 for further details.

Classes.
---
STALLING
A drawing will take place in the AMHA Office for stall locations
at each Championship Show. Only those stall requests received
by the entry closing date will be included in the drawing. The
Show Manager/Show Secretary will then assign the stalls.
Exhibitors who wish to be stalled together must submit stall requests and entries together in one envelope. NO EXCEPTIONS!
STALL FOR SPECIAL NEEDS EXHIBITORS

be moved within the class schedule to permit this to occur.
Senior Stallions
All senior stallions must have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection
for Cryptorchidism or Monorchidism. If you have not sent your
certificate to the AMHA office prior to sending in your entries,
a certificate must accompany the entry and will be placed on file.
Show Rules
The Central and Eastern Championship Shows will be conducted under
the rules and regulations as set forth in the 2000-2001 AMHA Official
Rule Book and this Premium Book. As outlined in GR-010, knowledge
of the AMHA Show Rules and Regulations, as well as the requirements
of each class entered, is each exhibitor's responsibility.
Veterinarian
A veterinarian will be on call at the Central and Eastern Championship
Shows. Check with the Show Secretary/office for assistance with
name and phone number.
---
Regions
The United States and Canada are divided into three regions (Western,
Central, and Eastern) as outlined in NS-010-C in the 2000-2001
AMHA Show Rules. The Central Championship Show boundaries include
the states from AMHA Regions 6, 7, 12, and 13 plus Missouri and
Louisiana. The Eastern Championship Show boundaries include the
states from AMHA Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 11 (minus Missouri
and Louisiana).
Eligibility-Residency
AMHA Championship Shows are open to AMHA registered horses and
owners who are in good standing with AMHA (see GR-025-G), who
has met all requirements set forth in GR-010 of the 2000-2001
AMHA Show Rules, and whose eligibility is confirmed by the AMHA
office.
Horses are to be shown in the region of the OWNER'S primary residence, except that on or before June 1, 2001 (postmark), the owner must notify the AMHA National Office, on a Declaration of Eligibility Form, of the owners desire to have the horse shown at the Championship Show in the region in which the trainer of the named horse resides. Such Declaration of Eligibility must be postmarked and mailed to the AMHA Show Department by June 1, 2001, for filing. No exceptions will be made.
If a horse is SOLD after June 1, 2001, the horse's eligibility
shall automatically be changed to the region of the buyer UNLESS
the Transfer of Ownership form is accompanied by a Declaration
of Eligibility Form.
---
Eligibility of LEASED horses as to the region in which they will
show will be determined as of June 1, 2001. Notice of lease must
be postmarked and mailed to the AMHA Show Department for filing
on or before June 1, 2001. No exceptions will be made.
A horse will be shown in ONLY ONE Championship Show during 2001. Amateur and Youth exhibitors will compete at ONLY ONE Championship Show during 2001.

They may enter as many classes as they choose at the Championship Show in each division in which they entered at least one class at the local qualifying show. A horse/exhibitor is not required to have placed at the local qualifying show but they must have entered and exhibited.

Special Award Ties and Scoring
In calculating all of these Special Awards, should ties occur,
the following procedure will be followed. The first tie breaker
will be to determine the horse/exhibitor defeating the most competitors.
If a tie still results from this calculation, then the next tie
breaker will be to determine which horse/exhibitor placed highest
in their respective halter class. Should a tie still result, a
coin will be tossed by the exhibitors.
In scoring all special awards, the following computer point
system will be used:

points, second receives 9 points, third receives 8 points, etc.
